An Unforgettable Night Of Song...
In addition to his success in contemporary popular music, Ochs is universally hailed as a breakthrough composer in the arena of Hebrew/Jewish worship music. He is the Composer in Residence at Congregation Micah in Nashville, TN and has performed at some of the most respected Jewish Institutions in the world including London's Leo Baeck Rabbinical College and The Jewish Museum of Berlin. Michael's liturgical settings have become part of the standard Jewish Shabbat repertoire from New York to Los Angeles, South Africa to London.
An Inspirational Journey Awaits—Michael invites you and your community on an unforgettable and inspirational musical journey: from New York to Norway, London to Berlin…and through the security checkpoints between Israel, the West Bank and Jordan. The songs, written and inspired during this journey and the personal photographs accompanying the music sweep you into this incredible experience. Join Michael as he retraces his steps with the young progressive Jewish communities in London and Oslo, and while performing at the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Krystallnacht in Berlin. The program also includes songs composed with some of the top Palestinian, Israeli, Jordanian and Norwegian recording artists as part of a project focused on music, ethics and peace. The performance is rounded out with a few of Michael’s most popular “Gesher” Shabbat settings –many now mainstays in Reform Synagogues across the country.
Michael and his all-star band would be honored to share this one-of-a-kind evening of song and conversation with your community. You will find that this unique event is easily adaptable to fit your congregation’s needs – part of the Shabbat service; an interfaith workshop( Michael co-wrote the Dove Award winning Song Of The Year, "On My Knees" - Jaci Velasquez); a stand-alone concert or a blend of all three.

He is a dynamic performer who brought the audience to their feet as they enjoyed music from his CD “Gesher” and his new compositions that will soon become standards at synagogues everywhere.
