An Unforgettable Night Of Song...
In addition to his success in contemporary popular music, Michael Hunter Ochs is universally hailed as a breakthrough composer in the arena of Hebrew/Jewish worship music. From New York to Los Angeles, Paris to South Africa, Michael's compositions are becoming standard repertoire in Jewish congregations around the world. Why not invite Michael to your community for an evening of song and conversation! The program includes music and slideshow presentation inspired by Michael's visits with the Jewish communities in London, Oslo and Berlin (to commemorate the 70th anniversary of krystallnacht). Additionally, the presentation features songs composed during Michael's tour of Israel, Ramallah and Jordan where he had the privilege of collaborating with some of the top artists in the Middle East on a project focused on ethics, music and conflict resolution. And, of course the night is rounded out with favorite pieces from Michael's Jewish catalogue such as Oseh Shalom, other Gesher favorites, and a few highlights from his TV/Film/Pop career (Josh Groban, The Simpsons, etc.).
Reviews:
“We were delighted to welcome Michael Hunter Ochs and his band to Temple Kol Tikvah. He is a dynamic performer who brought the audience to their feet as they enjoyed music from his CD “Gesher” and his new compositions that will soon become standards at synagogues everywhere. In addition, we were thrilled to hear his many secular hits. This concert is for young and old. We are still talking about it and look forward to welcoming him back!”……….

Michael's workshop at Leo Baeck College (Rabbinical training college in London) was a refreshing and thought provoking experience for rabbinical students and music leaders alike. His education skills and love of learning shone through his music and we are eagerly awaiting his next visit.
